Fishing Charters & Scalloping Trips
Fishing has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. As a youngster, it was bluegill, crappie, bass, and trout in the small lakes and streams of northwest Pennsylvania. As a teenager, he added in some fly fishing for steelhead, salmon, and brown trout in the tributaries of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. His family vacations were a week in Canada catching walleye and northern pike in a small cabin lakeside, usually far north of Toronto. These opportunities in his younger years only fed the fire and passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing. His fishing life has evolved to a fully equipped 24-foot Bluewave Purebay boat. The pristine waters of the Nature Coast provide the perfect habitat to stalk the many game fish species here. The main inshore species targeted year-round are redfish, snook, trout, and snapper. Tarpon, grouper, and cobia are some of the other species that are caught seasonally. Scallop season begins July 1 and runs through September 24. This is family fun at its best. The sweet meat from these little gems is terrific! Snorkeling through the crystal clear waters over the beautiful grass flats of this area is another fantastic way to spend the day.
